The problem it solves
Open-ear earbuds are safe and comfortable for running along Ngong Road or cycling, because you hear cars and people. But the same openness makes them useless in a noisy matatu or on a plane. Sealed ANC earbuds are the opposite. Until now you needed two pairs. The AeroFit 2 Pro is built to do both: in open mode the speaker sits outside the ear canal; switch to its closer-fitting position and it forms a partial seal where ANC becomes effective.
Sound quality
With 11.8mm drivers and LDAC support, this is one of the best-sounding open-ear designs available. In open mode, bass is naturally lighter; in the closed position with ANC, it fills out considerably. Tune both modes in the Soundcore app — see our What Is LDAC? Which Soundcore Earbuds and Headphones Support Hi-Res Audio for when LDAC matters.
Fit and sport use
The flexible ear hook keeps the buds stable during running, gym sessions and hikes. IP55 handles sweat and dust. Battery
Up to about 7 hours per charge and 34 hours with the case, plus wireless charging. ANC use reduces this somewhat.
AeroFit 2 Pro vs AeroFit 2 AI Assistant
The Soundcore AeroFit 2 AI Assistant (KSh 13,400) is open-ear only (no convertible ANC mode) but adds an AI voice assistant and costs much less. If you don't need ANC, it is the better value. Full details: Soundcore AeroFit 2 AI Assistant in Kenya: Open-Ear Earbuds With a Built-In AI Helper.
